Surfing In The North East 
 
The North East coast is one of the most picturesque and historic coastlines in the world. The rugged natural beauty of the landscape mixed with old fishing ports, ancient castle ruins and storm-beaten lighthouses all create a unique and stunning backdrop whilst floating out in the ocean. We have some truly stunning surf spots that on their day, can produce waves that will rival any other area of the country and beyond. Surfing one of the coldest seas on earth our locals re-define the meaning of hardcore knowing that when the icy winter fronts roll in, the swells get bigger and the crowds disappear.

This is a celebration of surfing in the North East.
